Big names of the brazilian and world architecture were part of the second day of Vitoria Stone Fair

In partnership with Casa Vogue and It’s Natural, expoents of the design, decoration, architecture and art area, discussed the most pertinent and urgent matters for the ornamental stones sector, such as technology, architecture, application of materials, conservation and sustainability.

The cycle of lectures was mediated by the chief editor of Casa Vogue, Guilherme Amorozo. He highlighted the importance of these talk space in Vitoria Stone Fair to bring architects and designers closer to the universe of possibilities that natural stones offer.

“Our intettion is also to draw the attention of entrepreneurs in the sector, mining companies and all stones extractors to the importance of design and architecture work as a way to bring more value to this raw material”, he added.

The environmental preservation has been one of the constant themes at Vitoria Stone Fair. In the first lecture, which had the participation of the agronomist and botanical curator of Inhotim, Juliano Borin, and the environmental engineer of Magban Mármores e Granitos, Jaime Lopes, the need to make the exploitation of natural stones more sustainable was discussed.

“Taking care of environmental impacts is a path of no return if applied from an early age in people’s lives. That is why it has been important for companies to invest in actions that bring socio-environmental awareness to the base of society”, says Lopes.

Casa Vogue also brought the representative of Studio Edelkoort in Brazil, Lili Tedde, who spoke about how to study trends in the fashion industry and how it is possible to adapt this research to the stone sector She pointed out that trends are nothing more than the translation of society’s needs and desires. In this way, the search for ancestry is on the rise.

 

 

“In the context of architecture, this search can be found in ornamental stones, which are capable of composing warmer and more receptive environments”, added Lili Tedde.

Still within the partnership with Casa Vogue, the ambassador of Vitoria Stone Fair, Vivian Coser, participated of the panel “About stone and architecture: from design to construction”, together with the Specification Engineer and CEO of DGG Stones, Paulo Giafarov; the architect and urbanist specialist in BIM and vice president of Asbea BR, Miriam Addor; and the commercial manager of Santo Antônio Stones, Rodrigo Toledo.

Vivian defended the benefit of the use of ornamental stones in the architectural projects. Second her, the contact with the nature through the natural stones is able to offer a better quality of life, as it increases productivity and benefits people’s health. Still according to Vivian, prioritizing ornamental stones is to ensure more sustainable environments. “The rock is a material with a long life cycle. All the wonderful buildings in the world were built from natural stones and are still there today. Opting for dimension stones is not thinking in the short term, but in the long term”, she added.

 

With the support of the project It’s Natural, the last lecture of the day had the participation of Samuele Sordi, chief architect of the headquarters in Miami of the renowned Italian office Pininfarina, responsible for designing several models of Ferrari, Maserati and Rolls-Royce. With the theme “Art, beauty and performance”, Sordi offered an overview of the designs developed by the office around the world that value beauty, modernity, exclusivity and innovation.

Samuele highlighted the importance of having a well-defined identity for brand and project recognition. “This consolidation becomes less complicated when the values ​​are well defined and you know how to work well with the materials available”.

Stone Summit Arena is the environment created to bring all this connection. Flávia Milaneze, CEO of Milanez & Milaneze, highlights the importance of the programation that addresses important topics for the market. “In addition to the novelties in ornamental stones and possibilities for closing deals, we want to offer participants an immersion and deepening in the knowledge of the area so that Vitoria Stone Fair is a complete experience”, she points out.
