With a history of over two decades of success, Vitoria Stone Fair is recognized as the leading natural stone trade show for being an international hub connecting the rock sector.
In addition to the diversity and variety of options in natural stones, the fair also showcases innovation in machinery. Exhibitors at the 21st edition have kept up with market evolution and are investing in new technologies.
The SPR 450 Evo 3 Bridge Saw is a novelty from AçoArt, focused on developing intelligent and customized equipment. According to the company, the machine can cut any type of piece and operates with cutting-edge technology. First, it takes a photo of the slab, and the machine self-calibrates and “understands” the stone’s location. Then, the software calculates and executes the cut.
“It is an extremely versatile machine; it makes cuts effortlessly and significantly reduces human error. Another differentiator is the suction cups, which assist in moving the stones, also minimizing slab errors,” adds Arthur David, the company’s director of innovation.
AGF, another exhibiting company at the fair, brought two different machines for this edition. One of them is the Diamond Wire Saw with Permanent Magnet, also used for cutting pieces. The equipment operates with a magnet in the motor, which increases cutting speed.
The technical sales consultant, João Batista, talks about the main advantages. “It is an advanced technology machine with a performance 30 to 35% higher than normal ones, in addition to having lower energy costs.”
Another machine from AGF is the Slab Drying Oven, which, as the name suggests, is used to dry the slab. Its main differentiator is productivity, as the drying time will be shorter.
The polishing line manager, Wanderley Castro, explains the machine’s technology and mentions that it is an innovation that the market is already demanding. “What is innovative is the temperature and humidity controls by CLT. Drying works in an automated way through these commands,” he said.
Dardi, a leading company in cutting machines, brought the 5-Axis Bridge Saw for the first time. “It is equipment that cuts any type of metal, from sculpted sinks to Italian recesses. The cut is done by laser, and the machine also functions as a 2D sculptor,” explained Luiz Augusto, Dardi’s manager.
Tenax, an Italian company with over 60 years of experience, specializes in products for the processing of natural stones.
