Starting in 2025, Vitoria Stone Fair will be renamed Marmomac Brazil and will be held in São Paulo. The announcement was made exclusively at the opening ceremony of the event, which took place this Tuesday (30). The first edition already has a date and location set and will take place from February 18 to 20 at Anhembi.
The merger of the fair in Vitória with Marmomac, the world’s leading stone fair held for over 50 years in Verona, Italy, meets a demand from the sector aiming to reach new markets. The idea is to boost and enhance growth. “The Brazilian stone sector has a very significant representation on the world stage, hence this expansion to Marmomac Brazil. This change marks another major step in the unity of the sector. Our work is to take the industry from Espírito Santo, the largest producing state in the country, even further,” said Ed Martins, president of Sindirochas.
Thales Machadopresident of the Brazilian Center for Exporters of Ornamental Stones (Centrorochas), asserts that the transformation is necessary. “This change is an important step for the future of the natural stone sector. The combination of the Marmomac brand, internationally recognized as a symbol of excellence in the stone sector, with the fair in Brazil, creates new opportunities.”
The new positioning will allow for further diversification of the fair’s audience, especially architects and designers. The city, one of the largest urban centers in Brazil, has a strategic position to attract new consumers and foster new businesses. Flávia Milaneze, CEO of Milanez & Milaneze, the event organizer, states that the idea is to enhance the riches of Espírito Santo. “Vitoria Stone Fair is not leaving the state. We are expanding, increasing the visibility of companies from Espírito Santo. We need to look ahead to gain new markets. We still have a series of projects that will happen in Espírito Santo, in addition to Cachoeiro Stone Fair, which will continue even stronger,” she said Flavia recalled when Vitoria Stone Fair was created. “Decades ago, we brought Cachoeiro Stone Fair to Vitória and strengthened the presence in Cachoeiro even more. Now we are expanding Vitoria Stone Fair to São Paulo; it’s the same path.”
