A growing demand for the use of natural stones in architectural projects is driven by the pursuit of increased sustainability.

In addition to standing out for their diversity of colors, textures, and patterns that captivate architects and designers, natural stones are gaining more and more prominence in the market for combining beauty and sustainability.

Among the factors that make natural stone eco-friendly are being a natural resource; resistant and durable; low maintenance; reusable; and extracted and processed following very strict environmental laws, among many others.

Sustainability and well-being: creating furniture and signature pieces with natural stones. The theme of the lecture, moderated by Guilherme Amorozo, Content Director of Casa Vogue, was “Sustainability and well-being: creating furniture and signature pieces with natural stones,” featuring the presence of Lucas Recchia, architect and designer, and Renata Malenza, director of Brasigran. The company’s booth showcased exclusive furniture designs and decorative pieces at the fair. “I see no limits for the use of rocks: in design, in decor, in cladding, and also in reuse,” said Renata.

Lucas Recchia shared his journey in the industry: “My dream was to work with stones, so I started looking for partners in the market to meet this demand, and at that time, there was no one who could make furniture. That’s when I found Renata along the way.”

The issue of the longevity of stone was also emphasized, making the pieces highly timeless. In addition to sustainability, rocks provide a sophisticated and versatile design, bringing a natural ambiance to the places where they are applied, catering to various styles of decoration.

During the panel, it was also emphasized that the use of natural stones in design brings sophistication to both indoor and outdoor environments. They also allow for the exchange of strong and natural energy, bringing a bit of nature into the surroundings, creating a lighter, more pleasant, productive, and happy atmosphere.
